Max and Annie Kilroe-Smith run a carpentry workshop called Woodpecker based in Hillcrest KZN. Woodpecker empowers adults and children through carpentry – teaching the woodworking skills needed to turn a simple idea into a bespoke handmade wooden object. Under the watchful eye of the master carpenter, Max, the woodworking students are taught to measure dimensions, use a variety of tools and finish off their projects with pride.
